THE ULTIMATE HOLIDAY EVENTS IN CALGARY

1. NOËL CHRISTMAS 

There’s a new can’t-miss holiday attraction in town. Noel is a one-of-a-kind interact light park featuring four themed installations and an interactive light tunnel spanning 250 feet. You can also explore a mini artisan market, food trucks galore, Santa’s Village and much more.

2. NORTHERN REFLECTIONS 

Experience Calgary's downtown core like never before with the second annual Northern Reflections Window Exhibition hosted by Buds Collective. Local artists have teamed up with the arts collective to paint windows at different downtown businesses and spaces, and with the help of Augle, an augmented reality app, Calgarians can use their phones to bring the paintings to life. 

3. ONCE UPON A CHRISTMAS 

There are only a few more days to explore the magic of Christmas past at Heritage Park in Calgary. Immerse yourself in a festive array of activities, perfect for the whole family, like wagon rides, carols, and Yuletide traditions. Don't forget to pay jolly old Saint Nick a visit. 

4. ZOOLIGHTS

Calgary's award winning, holiday tradition is back for a 23rd time! This year's ZOOLIGHTS, presented Olympia Trust Company, features exciting new activities including Wizarding Wednesdays, Potions Class, Axe-Throwing, and the Sugar Shack in addition to fan favourites like ice skating and toasty fire pits. 

5. CALGARY CHRISTMAS MARKET 

It's the last week to find everything you need for under the tree and on the table at the Calgary Christmas Market while enjoying mulled wine, live entertainment, and freshly roasted notes. Whether you're in need of delectable treats or a gift for someone special, there are dozens upon dozens of vendors serving up Yuletide gifts, food, jewelry, decor, and more. 

6. HOLIDAY COCKTAIL POP-UPS

'Tis the season for festive libations and what better way to indulge than visiting three holiday pop-up bars in Calgary. Miracle on 1st Street at Proof returns for a second year, Ricardo’s Hideaway is hosting it's first ever Tiki-inspired Sippin’ Santa pop-up, and the new Nightmare on 1st Street pop-up at Shelter takes a darker approach to the holiday theme.

7. ICE SKATING AT OLYMPIC PLAZA

Skate amidst the beauty of downtown Calgary at Olympic Plaza, the city's most beloved ice rink. Admission is free and rentals are available for a small fee at the Skate Hut from Thursday to Sunday. 

8. ALL BLACK NYE
